a bag of baking powder (Weinstein 'Potassium bitartrate') ca. 15-21 gram (contains starch)
250 gram curd (option: lactose free)
1 hen's egg (without the shell)
50 gram fat (e.g. sunflower oil, coconut oil)
baking sheet with baking parchment
oven preheated 200°C / 392°F top and down heat
estimated time until baked: about 20 minutes
Preparation
turn on the oven with 200°C / 392°F top and down heat
mix the dry components (e.g. flour,salt, sugar, baking powder)
add the wet components (e.g. curd, egg, fat)
knead dough intensely (use a kneader if you have one)
form twelve pieces of equal size, flatten them if you prepare them as toast
place them on the baking parchment covered baking sheet
insert baking sheet in oven when oven is fully heated (take off your glasses if you wear some, the heat wave from the oven will damage the coating irreparable over time)
use the 20 minutes until baked to clean up the mess you made
leave the baked buns cooling for at least 5 minutes 20 minutes if you want to freeze them you may want to cut them in half if you want to use them as toast
